What is Earth From Down Under

Earth from Down Under is a blog about our twice in a lifetime retirement visits to the Antipodes with stops in Hawai'i. To stay in touch with friends and family while on our trip, we will post updates as often as possible. (Click on the photos to enlarge them for the full effect.)

More on the Foul Feral Fowl

While lunching at La Veranda, we met a congenial Canadian couple from White Rock, B.C. outside Vancouver. As we were comparing travel notes, we mentioned our stay on Kaua’i. The fellow said he had golfed at the course in Princeville, and it was one of the toughest courses he’d ever played. He also admitted he’d had a few beers and returned to see his electric golf cart moving. He blinked thinking he’d had one too many but and when he got closer, he could see roosters and chickens all over the cart tearing selectively into his lunch, pecking the tuna out of his sandwiches! I guess I should inform Anne Thurston that they still have the foul feral fowl in Princeville after all.
